FULL DISCLOSURE: 1. This post is regarding those who have
received the gift of God’s grace through His Son, Jesus Christ’s sacrificial
death on the cross and via the empty tomb.
2. This is not a political post.
This is a post on where our focus should be in order to see real
transformation occur in the lives we are blessed to encounter on a daily
basis.
It is interesting to me how many Believers are so consumed
with politics. I have observed this most
all of my life. I have seen this in the last 8 years and I have seen it in the
past two weeks when administrations have changed. I agree it is our duty to be
involved in the political process, but not to the point where we obsess over it
and it hurts the church sharing the gospel.
I read the following this week and it has resonated deep
with me: “Forgiveness of sins is the central message of the gospel. That’s the
only way people’s hearts are truly transformed.
But that’s the opening of a fuller gospel story. The whole gospel
includes a transformation. God’s grace changes people, and as a result they
change everything around them. Families are renewed. Schools are rejuvenated.
Businesses reorient their mission and purpose. What’s more, the gospel of Christ,
because it changes hearts, changes the course of civil government.”
If you are a Believer and are not satisfied with the current
administration and his policies, I will tell you the same thing I told others
who were unsatisfied about the former administration. Pray for the
administration, and then go share the gospel in WORD and DEED.
I love The United States of America and I considered myself
extremely blessed to be a citizen of the USA. However, my temporary citizenship
to the USA is a pale comparison to the eternal Kingdom of God, which I will
ultimately share with those from, “…every nation, tribe, people and
language…”(Revelation 7:9).
